Michael Klein
Principal and Chief Executive Officer
Michael has over 35 years of experience in real estate and corporate finance. He has worked for money center, and regional and community banks in loan origination, loan recovery, and credit risk management. Prior to founding Freedom, Michael co-founded and was the fund manager at Partners Capital Solutions (PCS). As a fund manager, Michael has supervised the origination and management of approximately $2.0 billion in loans and returned over 8% per annum to investors while suffering zero losses.
Michael serves on the board of directors of Homes 4 Families, an organization dedicated to helping low-income veterans attain home ownership. He is president of the Phoenix Chapter of Lambda Alpha International and a member of the MBA, ICSC, and REIAC.
His hobbies include flying and high-performance driving. He serves as president of the Deer Valley Pilots Association and volunteers as a nationally certified driving instructor with the Porsche Club of America.
He and his business partner and co-author, Stanley Kafka, have an international bestselling book "How to Make Sensible Investments in a Senseless Economy".
Michael received his bachelor’s degree in Finance from California State University at Northridge and an MBA from the University of Southern California.
