Many of you may know that I have the honor of serving on the Board of Directors for Homes 4 Families , a not-for-profit organization that builds neighborhoods and affordable homes for lower-income veterans and their families to purchase, while also providing a myriad of supportive services. I am also the chair of our OVER THE EDGE (OTE) event , to be held on October 30, 2021, at the beautiful Hilton Universal City Hotel. OTE is one of our primary fundraising efforts and the proceeds will allow us to continue the timely construction of our 56-home community in Palmdale, CA.
This year, as chair of the event, I have agreed to go OVER THE EDGE and rappel down the side of the Hilton, risking my life and limb, to raise funds toward our ultimate goal of $150,000 . The $150,000 will help H4F deliver four more needed homes this year.
For those of you who would like to see me sweat and possibly experience other uncontrollable bodily functions, this is your chance – for a price, of course – to make sure that it happens. For those of you who wish to join me in this adventure, there are sponsorship opportunities that will buy you the chance to go OVER THE EDGE yourself, or for that matter, to sponsor a loved one (or not so loved one) to have the experience themselves!
